Good question! But an even better question would be, WHY DOES HE LOVE BEING IN TWO GROUPS + ACTING ON THE SIDE? The man is clinically insane, if he has three days off in a row he starts wanking on his j-web about no one needing him anymore. (as for how that works; he lives in two cities + Kanjani8 tours in summer and NewS have winter/spring, so Ryo manages to be everywhere, NEVERMIND HE DOESN'T HAVE A FUCKING LIFE.)

Tegoshi is sparkly and evil. I don't know, I'm kind of fond of him especially because he fakes so much. I don't think I've ever heard an honest word out of that boy's mouth, but I find that somehow fascinating. He's such a ~pop star~.

Pi is, like... I don't know, he is obviously gorgeous + he has this ~mysterious charisma~ thing going on. He just somehow became the leader of the Juniors and then one of JE's top actors and then the leader of NewS and everyone adores him. Nowadays he's popular to the point that I can kind of see why someone new to the fandom wouldn't get why he's the elite of the elite, because it's true that he's nowhere near the most talented of JE in any way. I think it was seriously just a looks & personality thing that got him a giant following as a Junior, and the rest is history.

Yeah, Koyama is a Yamapi fanboy. xD Along with Tegoshi. Hell, Tegoshi used to follow Pi around like a puppy, it was wildly hilarious.

Ryo IS a total workaholic. But he's been doing this for a decade and he's yet to have a breakdown. Seriously, he loves this shit. He has his bad days--er, bad weeks?--but he always manages to get himself together. But the rest of the guys are like that, too. I think the whole Junior-system JE has helps; they start backdancing and doing tv shows basically in their pre-teens, most of them beside school, the more popular Juniors even gain their own fans and popular Junior group get to perform their own shit -- those who obviously aren't cut out for this sort of lifestyle with all the travelling and irregular hours and possibly working through sickness and injuries will most likely leave the company before they are even put into a permanent group. K-pop kids get thrown into this whole thing so abruptly, no wonder a lot of them only realize after debuting that maybe this wasn't what they wanted, after all.

Nah, Shige's not exactly the busiest idol out there. Sometimes he doesn't have to do anything idol-like for weeks. Plus he says he chose law exactly because there aren't that many lectures he has to be there for and he has a lot of friends who help him (he's been going to this school since junior high). I'm not saying he isn't awesome, but fandom kind of hypes the whole law student thing up. Yamapi's schedule is a hundred times busier and he studies business in an equally prestigious university never mind he wasn't allowed to graduate last year because he was 6 creds short. Hell, Koyama managed to graduate from Meiji.

he is very pretty, that i can't deny. i just sort of wondered why he seems to be everywhere. i'm not much of a drama person, so i doubt i'll ever see for myself just how good he is as an actor. it's adorable that they fanboy one of their own members XD only jpop.

idk! i've seen my friend's law notes, and they are horrible. i...always had the idea that business wouldn't be quite so mind-boggling. it'd better be, or else choosing to take business would be a very, very bad idea for me XD i''m still sort of amazed they manage to juggle school and work at the same time

He's not that good of an actor, really. Decent, but nothing to write home about. No, there was this incredibly popular drama, Nobuta wo Produce, which sort of cemented his career along with Kame's and Horikita Maki's. All three characters were v. speshul and the whole drama is sort of a must-see when you are into j-pop/j-drama, but I still think it was just that it was such a great story with such fortunate casting.

They were Yamapi's fanboys long before they started working with him. I'm pretty sure Tegoshi's cited Pi as at least one of the reasons he joined JE. What I love about NewS is that they used to be this complete clusterfuck of a group age, experience and popularity-wise when they were first put together. Ryo and Yamapi were wildly popular even back then, also friends, but Tegoshi had only been in JE for a few months, Massu was a random back dancer and Shige and Koyama weren't gaining much popularity with their previous group. So basically, Ryo was free to call Yamapi whatever he felt like calling him, but Shige or Tegoshi wouldn't even dream of going with anything but "Yamashita-san". And some of that still shows to this day, I think. Even if Yamapi and Tegoshi are technically equals now, Tegoshi is still more likely to refer to him as "Yamashita-kun", because c'mon, he used to be his idol.

They do have a pretty exciting job, though! :D Okay, I could never in a million years do it, but it's what they chose. I don't know, I just love how Ryo loves his job even when it gets hard, how he still gets all nervous and excited before a tv show even though he's been doing this for half his life. Because I'd like to think that's the norm. Those idols who whine all the time about how hard their life is should probably go be a cashier in a corner store or something.

Ugh, law over business any day. I'm miserable at Math and statistics and shit so business would definitely break my brain in a matter of days.
